There is a misprint in the second sentence:  "mislead" should say "misled".  

Also, this essay was written in the previous century.  If it were written today, more gender-neutral/inclusive language would be used throughout.  For instance:  
	"the Kantian man" → "the Kantian person"
	"man's natural desire" → "people's natural desire"
	"exists in all men, some men or no man" → "exists in everyone, in some people or nobody"
	"critical of a man" → "critical of someone"
